I am Lisa, an accounting student at City University of Hong Kong with dreams of becoming a CPA.What energizes me most? Challenging myself with complex projects while fostering collaboration across diverse teams. Growing up trilingual (English, Cantonese, and Nepali) and studying across Hong Kong and the UK has taught me that the best solutions come from bringing different perspectives together.

I handle all our budgeting and reimbursements, and I really enjoy the planning and budgeting that help us bring our events to life. What truly excites me is seeing our society acting as a bridge, connecting people from all sorts of backgrounds and helping us share and celebrate our vibrant Nepali culture.
In the second workshop of the EMPOWER program, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the Morgan Stanley office.Sarah Millson from Actualize led a compelling session on making powerful first impressions and mastering professional communication. Practicing these skills in real-time with Morgan Stanley’s group leaders was an invaluable experience that transformed theory into tangible, practical insight.

Giving back to the community has always been close to my heart. Through volunteering, I have had the privilege of connecting with people and learning from their stories.

I supported Nepali elderly where I facilitated art and craft sessions that fostered creativity and connection.I also served as a translator during a dental visit, helping bridge communication between the dentist and the elders by translating from Nepali to English. This experience not only deepened my cultural awareness and communication skills, but also brought me genuine happiness as I built meaningful relationships and contributed to the well-being of the community.
I had the joy of supporting elderly women as they expressed their life stories through art. I offered creative guidance when they needed help shaping their ideas.
Their dedication to learning and their radiant, positive mindsets left a lasting impression on me and made the experience truly inspiring.
